We are connecting with folks at the Disruptive Medial Learning Lab in Coventry, UK! The Learning on/with the Open Web Conference #OWLTEH18 is a one-day MozFest fringe event celebrating open online infrastructures as a socio-technical ecosystem for teaching, learning, scholarly communication and public engagement.
#OWLTEH18 will bring together educators and technologists with experience in the use of instances of the Open Web (e.g. web domains, Wikipedia, open web publishing tools) with the aim of discussing pedagogical approaches and the design of learning experiences involving the use of such online infrastructures.
Some of the topics to be covered include critical digital literacies, equity in education, intercultural learning, open data, Wikimedia in the classroom, and the future of open web infrastructure. All abstracts can be found at http://conf.owlteh.org/contributions/
Thursday, Oct 25, 3.30 PM (UK time, GMT +1)
Our onsite buddies will be Catherine Cronin and Mia Zamora. Our virtual buddies will be Sundi Richard and Alan Levine.
