We’re joining into the conversations at the Winter Symposium on Digital Literacy in Higher Education.
The Winter Syposium at the University of Rhode Island will be held on January 12-13, 2017. It brings together scholars and teachers from across a variety of higher education institutions including regional, national and international stakeholders. Through discussion and dialogue, the aim is to discover how digital literacy competencies intersect with the professional and personal needs of college and university faculty. As a result of this conference, participants will clarify a vision for the values and needs of higher education faculty to help drive the development of new professional development programs and services to meet faculty needs.
Themes being explored include
- The Digital Literacy Competencies of Faculty, Undergraduate and Graduate Students
- Teaching and Learning With and About Digital Media
- The Digital Identity of the College Professor
- Scholarly Networking and Digital Literacy.
The Virtually Connecting community will play a key role in the exploration of these issues. VC will be featured in the Scholarly Networking panel as well as two “Show Me” sessions.
