We’re @vconnecting at @emergeAfrica July 18

Virtually Connecting is doing a session at the fully online conference organized by e/Merge Africa entitled “Festival of eLearning in Africa“. The guest list is not fully confirmed, but we are hoping to get some of the conference speakers (including keynote Laura Czerniewicz (@czernie), keynote Tutaleni Asino (@tutaleni), Sukaina Walji (@sukainaw) and Nancy White (@NancyWhite)) and some of the conference organizers (Tony Carr (@tony_emerge), Jakob Pederson (@jakobp), Nicole Pallitt (@nicolapallitt)) and the virtual buddies will be Maha Bali (@bali_maha also a keynote at the event), Greg Dillon (@garcapolis) and Greg McVerry (@jgmac1106).

The event will be slightly different from usual vconnecting sessions, in that it will be run via Zoom (Zoom link forthcoming) and hopefully still livestreamed to YouTube with a small delay (YouTube link forthcoming). This is because all the speakers are virtual, and so to provide room for participants to join, we needed more space than a Google hangouts on Air provide.

The event will be Wednesday July 18 at 4pm South Africa time. Please see below for time conversion. If interested to join us, please leave a comment here, tweet us @vconnecting, or just use the Zoom join link once it’s available. Looking forward to chatting with you!
