It is here!
We are Virtually Connecting at Digital Pedagogy Lab Cairo. March 20th, 22nd, and 23rd – schedule listed below.
If you can’t make it to Egypt no worries we have got your back because we will be chatting with Maha Bali, Jesse Stommel, Bonnie Stewart, Sean Michael Morris, and Amy Collier about the conversations happening onsite in all the session tracks.
Our Virtual Buddies Alan Levine, Rebecca Hogue, Autumm Caines, and Patrice Torcivia Prusko can help you make the connection “virtually” (psst… the “connection” may be virtual but it is real networking).
We couldn’t do it without Maha Abdelmoneim and Nadine Aboulmagd our onsite buddies helping us connect to the guests
To join us:
- Check the schedule below and find a time that works for you
- Tweet to us or leave a comment below and let us know you are interested (we are @VConnecting)
- DM us your email
- We will be in contact with connecting information after that
Some of the best VConnecting sessions are when virtual participants are able to participate or view in other ways than just VConnecting. Other opportunities for virtual participation include livestreamed keynotes and collaborative annotation (see here) and don’t forget to tweet using the #digped hashtag to stay engaged.
The Preliminary Schedule:
All times listed are the local conference time in Cairo – EET
These sessions are preliminary for now and because of the spontaneous nature of Virtually Connecting all sessions can run a few minutes early or a few minutes late.
Sunday, March 20th 3:30pm EET Cairo Time – Networks track, discussion of annotation of Donna Lanclos death of the digital native article with Donna Lanclos herself as a special virtual guest. Autumm Caines will connect with Jesse Stommel, Bonnie Stewart and Maha Bali onsite with the help of onsite buddies Nadine Aboulmagd and Maha Abdelmoneim.

Hi. I am interested in critical digital pedagogy and want to hear the Sunday March 20, 1-2pm Cairo time talk on Critical Digital Pedagogy (Sean Michael Morris and Jesse Stommel). I am in California and that will happen at 4 am, so I cannot see it live. I assume you will record it and post it. Where will you post it so I can see it? I know this might be very obvious for others but I got confused going around the site. thanks. Ethel
Hi Ethel – links to keynote recordings are available here (same as the livestream link for each one)
